REACHing Out Blurb for MAY 17, 2020
Many of you would agree that you have enough of your own problems. The last thing you need is for someone to give you just one more problem. Especially something they should just take care of themself. Right? This week while out and about on outreach we were told of a man who had been sleeping in a car. Interestingly, the car had been parking in an affluent neighborhood. After speaking with the man's family we learned that his and his family's situation was complicated, difficult, and sad. But, when we arrived at the neighborhood we were greeted by a neighbor, happy to see us, believing that we were there to ensure their "problem" didn't return as if we were pest control. The neighbor was adamant that their neighborhood didn't need "that sort of person". Probably the most difficult thing to do these days is taking the time to sincerely understand other people's problems and doing what you can to help - not just try to get rid of or avoid them. This is what Christ did and what He would have us do. Please consider becoming part of a Rescue Team - Mondays, 6:15 PM @ Watered Gardens! Because His Grace Is Amazing, Matt M.
