"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 3:4-7


The real truth of this verse, is that, we need to love EVERYONE this much. Not just those we're in a relationship with. Not just family. But our enemies as well. Some things in the verse may be easier to follow for some and more difficult for others. Somone may have a problem with "keeps no record of wrong", while someone may have a problem with "it is not self-seeking." No matter what it is, all of us have failed in these before. We are sinners, and therefore we sin. But why do we let the devil get to us?? Because we are full of selfish ambition and revenge. But love is looking out for the other person. Forgiving, and being a merciful person, just as Christ was. Love is more than what we today have made it. I pray we can start to see love as all of these things found in 1 Corinthians, and we can look towards living our lives loving others. And in doing so, sharing Christ. Because if you love someone, you'll want them to know the One who's created us and died for our sins :)
