"The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away." Matthew 13:20-21

I see that SOO many of us Christians are like this today, sadly.We become saved and are happy and joyous and may even tell some people about Jesus :) But when adversity come, or when it really takes faith to be happy in troubled times, so many of us (myself included) at times fall. We lose that happiness we had before, and just see all the negatives and may even blame God. We lose that faith in Him and for a while we aren't as happy or as close as God anymore. The only way to keep that is to keep our faith! The Lord wants us to have this joy and faith in good AND bad times! And during the bad times, the Lord brings us through them and we can use that as a witness to others of just another thing God has done for us :) Look at verse 23-
"But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." I pray we can be the one who's seed fell on good soil. So we can keep our faith strong and share the good news and fulfill God's desire for us :)
