"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

This verse, first off, tells us to rejoice always. But honestly, its VEERY hard to rejoice at certain times. But we should trust the Lord that no matter what's going on in our lives, we still have Him and He has a great plan for us :) In fact, in 1 Peter 4, Peter tells us to rejoice when we are persecuted! Because one day everyone will see the truth of Christ :) This verse also tells us to pray without ceasing; this, again, shows JUST how important prayer is. The Lord tells us to do it without ceasing! Paul then tells us to give thanks in all circumstances. It may be hard for some people today, to have a happy thanksgiving. I'm thinking of those who don't have a family, or who don't have a home. So please, pray for them. But we need to realize no matter how bad we have it, we can ALWAYS be thankful of the Lord :) All the things that we own today have made humans selfish and greedy. But I pray today we won't be this way-that Christians will break the status quo of the world, and act as Christ did. Always thinking of others first. I pray we can be thankful with everything that we have, and thankful of what Christ did for us :)
